Very Satisfied With Transmission Rebuild. Just wanted to pass along my overall satisfaction having had my transmission rebuilt by Hank and his shop professionals. Hank took the time to personally walk me through the shop and describe in detail how the rebuild would be done and how they go about rebuilding an automatic transmission and related components. It was a relief to have a little more insight into how the work would be done and by someone who impressed me with his knowledge of the automatic transmission. He could explain in plain English the details of how it would be done. Upon picking up my car, I was relieved at how well it operated and I felt that the investment in the older car was well justified. My car was completed in the time frame and for the dollar amount that Hank had initially quoted me. Hank was a true professional and I would highly recommend his place of business to anyone that is having transmission problemshttp://www.aamcolawrencevillega.com
IMPRESSIVE!I had an extremely difficult situation with a Jaguar that left me completely disgusted with the Jag Dealership. I had even been told that I shouldn't have anyone but the dealer do my work, BUT Hank and his team were AWESOME and went above and beyond in getting my 2003 S-Type's transmission installed. They provided fair, honest, and reasonably priced service. IF YOU NEED ANY TYPE OF SERVICE FOR YOUR CAR THE AAMCO TEAM ON PIKE ST IN LAWRENCEVILLE IS WHERE YOU SHOULD GO. My Experience was truly IMPRESSIVE!
Took my car to the dealer and they said I would need a new transmission which would cost over $2000. I took it to AAMCO in Lawrenceville and they were very professional and friendly. They gave me a ride home after dropping off my car and the problem ended up being an electrical issue and only cost me $350. Great service and kept me up to date on the progress. Will bring my car here for everything.
Knowledgable and Friendly! I was hesitant to take my vehicle to a "name" company. I believed I would be charged a fortune just because of their name. I was wrong. Hank and his staff were friendly, fixed my problem the first time and had my vehicle completed when they said they would. They did not try to take advantage of a woman who knows nothing about transmissions. The price was very fair and reasonable for the work they did. I highly recommend this location for accurate repairs, friendly staff, and reasonable prices.
Great Place! Took my son's car to the AAMCO in Lawrenceville because the car was having some transmission problems. They fixed his car in a timely manner and the cost was reasonable. I will use them for any and all of my car problems. Thanks guys for a job well done and making sure my son has a safe ride!
Hank and Scott really took care of me when my 1995 Saturn broke down this year. The repairs were done quickly, the quality of the work was great, and the customer service was outstanding. I use my car in my business, and they got me back on the road in no time.
I was having problems with an annoying sound in my truck when I gave it gas from a dead stop a thump which was driving me crazy. I needed to find out what it was because I was trying to sell it and I didn't won't to sell a truck that had a problem and besides who is going to buy a truck with a strange sound coming from it in the first place. I was worried about taking it to just anyone because of the prices some places would charge to fix it knowing that I was clueless and didn't know what the problem was so I decided to take it to the Lawrenceville AAMCO location since a friend told me they were honest and fair. I drove up to this location and they got right on it meaning we took off on a test drive and then back to the shop. They put it on a lift and began trying to figure out the problem, I mean they were going all over the truck from the rear to the front with a flash light looking under it while another was in the truck on the lift and running it. I was told to just go home and wait for a phone call and the next day I got it they found the problem and to my surprise it was the sway bar links in the front. They could have told me it was the gears in the rear end which would have cost $1000.00 + dollars and I would have believed them but being a honest and fair they told me it was a $185.00 problem. They even came to my house and picked me up since I didn't have a way back to the shop to get my truck, anyway thanks a million Scott and the guys at that AAMCO in Lawrenceville,Ga for being straight up with me, I really appreciate what you did!
My truck had the engine light go on, I had replaced the old worn gas cap since this is a common cause, but the light stayed on. I heard a radio special to check the light for free so I went in. the guys were friendly and professional, they took the time to check it out right then. the cap was the problem, they reset the light and sent me on my way with a big smile and *no* charge! Thanks a million guys!!
Good, Honest Work!
I've been a few times with different ailments for all my cars. I will never go anywhere else after all the great service Tim (owner) and Scott (manager) have given me. The service is great! I have used AAMCO's all over the south over the years and I do think they and Precision Tune are the best
Every once in a while you come across a review where the individual says they never leave reviews but the service was just too good not to and they rant about how good a service was. Well I’ve never left one either. And I’m actually not even feeling well today but today was the day I just had to say if your reading reviews to decide rather to go here.. look no further! Adam was very accommodating and really does care about his customers. While I was there his phone was ringing off the hook with business so yes he stays busy which says a lot about the place. After replacing my transmission my car is driving like a brand new car. Trustworthy, cares about his customers and gets the job done right. I actually moved here not too long ago from out of state as well... so we all know trying to find that one place you can trust that isn’t going to gauge you for money is a hard fit to find. A transmission about to kick the bucket never seems to be a good day but in the hands of the right people it does give you peace in the process. I am highly impressed and satisfied with the service and believe you will be too!
Amazing fast service finishing named Adam will help you out a lot. Fair pricing and reliable service. And we'll tell you the truth when you need it, great job to these guys.
We have taken three cars to this AAMCO. The first was the least expensive of the three quotes so we went with it for the F150. They did great work and the price did not change. Then I had to take our other sons car, a Ford Focus. Transmission was dry as a bone. Adam Gadowski (manager) could have just as easily charged for a new transmission but instead found that it was old seals that were leaking, they fixed it, made sure the transmission was fine and charged me a few hundred as opposed to a few thousand. We then had to take our Buick in for a transmission issue (when it rains it pours) and this one cost us more than we wanted. However, that is the nature of the beast. We have had a few minor follow up issues, which Adam and his team addressed quickly, inexpensively (mostly at no cost). I would definitely recommend taking your car there for big things...transmissions etc, not for the small things, oil change, windshield wipers etc. Adam is honest and knowledgeable, go see them!
Hands down a great place to get some work done. I called around before I found them, and no one would help me. So when I called Bryan told me to come down and they would help. I have a 1976 Spitfire 4 speed. Not to many shops want to or know how to build an older trans. Bryan and your team thank you for doing a great job... Mike
